My name is Sandy Metcalf And this is another side to me.
I grew up in the building industry and we used to purchase renovate remodel and rebuild properties when I was married as well. I can hand mix stains to match color as well as porcelain paint to redo baths. With no more than a color sample I just have an eye to match colors and always have also custom make stains that enhance the wood grain.
Also vintage homes I have a soft spot for Victorians and if you read my page with some of my written work on this site you see that love.
But we have also custom made from Filigree to Gables I drew the templates my husband cut out the wood and did the sanding and I did the paint stain and finish work.
To restore old homes from our custom pillars to making our own windows by using plain glass and making it look like lots of different shapes with molding when redoing the 1800's and early 1900's look. I love everything to do with renovations. I will hunt through our albums to scan some of our old houses and put them up here.

This is another picture I drew then I burned through it to make the burned pattern on the bare wood we would later make into cabinet molding for the Kitchen below we completely built from scratch and hand made everything in this country kitchen

Staging a home is to show form and function and to allow a buyer to see themselves living there.
It is another important aspect in selling property

We opened up the room with still allowing for color- cover that beautiful floor? We brought color to eye level
This home owner had little clutter but likes it dark and needed a bit more warmth
We added Subtle color to brighten and warm the room
Next the kitchen was also dark and busy we brightened it up with fun red and removed the black and clutter.
Made a country homely feel
Warm and inviting makes you want to lay down on the bed now. And to increase the bedroom size visually we went from Queen to double bed
